Worship

Worship services are held throughout the camp season, from the long weekend in May through the long weekend in September.

As the weather allows, worship takes place in our beautiful Outdoor Chapel, where we are able to appreciate God’s magnificent creation as we worship.

Alternate worship venues include the Pavilion, the ball field, or the Koinonia 55+ Clubhouse.

Holy Communion is normally offered once a month during the camp season, in May, June, July, and August.

Recreation

Camp Koinonia’s outdoor “All Sports Court” features courts for basketball, tennis or pickleball, and racquetball or handball.

We also have a ball diamond and plenty of open space for flying kites or playing bocce ball, disc golf, frisbee, soccer, or field hockey.

A number of playgrounds throughout the camp provide hours of entertainment for the youngsters, while the trails in the wooded areas are enjoyed by hiking enthusiasts.

The boat launch and designated swimming area facilitate fun water activities, as do the two short piers designated for non-motorized watercraft (paddle boards, kayaks, etc.), and the wooden fishing pier is used by those who enjoy fishing — and the fish have been plentiful the past few years!

Koinonia 55+ Club â€‹

The Koinonia 55+ Club operates the Seniors Clubhouse at the camp and sponsors a variety of different and fun activities throughout the camp season.

All members of the Lutheran Camp Association who are 55 years of age or older (and their spouses) are invited to become members of the Koinonia 55+ Club.
