Since 1960, our Lutheran camp has offered a unique opportunity for spiritual and physical growth for the whole family.
The Lutheran Camp Association on Lake Isle is composed of Lutheran Christians from various communities throughout Alberta. The Association was formed in 1960
when a group of Lutherans from Edmonton and the surrounding vicinity
purchased a tract of land that was developed into the present site of Camp Koinonia.
Our Camp is not affiliated with any specific Lutheran church body but is a family-oriented association made up of Lutherans from numerous Lutheran congregations. The main purpose and underlying principle of Camp Koinonia has been Christian growth and recreation.

The Camp has developed along two major lines. The first of these is the community of Lutheran members who use lots at the Camp by means of a license agreement.
The second is the establishment of the Pavilion, a year-round retreat centre
that is available to church groups and other organizations.
Camp Koinonia is located in an area very conducive to both growth and renewal,
approximately 100 kilometers (65 miles) west of Edmonton on the north shore of Lake Isle.

The facilities of the Lutheran Camp Association are available to a range of groups for their retreats, camps, conferences, and family functions. The winterized Pavilion, our Outdoor Chapel, and numerous campsites make it possible for our Association to extend an invitation to you
— your family, congregation or group —
to consider our camp on Lake Isle as a possible retreat site for your next event.
